Make a short story about you.
I was Born in 1966, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. I’m disabled, so I could not finish my music studies. Being a small boy I have had several hand surgeries. Art has always been a release for me. With the help of arts, I could shape my true face of a valuable human being. My parents helped me to liberate artistic talents. My mother is a painter. My father is a sculptor, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. They are family artistic traditions, who determined my evolution.
My musical activity begin in the late 80s. I recorded minimal music, inspired by Arvo Pärt ‘s concert in the Evangelical church, at the Warsaw Autumn festival.
They materialized what I could not verbally name, which was in my subconscious. In art, I’m trying this kind of metaphysics.
With DIGITON label Ireleased three cassettes with music: “Sny Polskie”, “Vita Contemplativa” and “Suita Tatrzańska”.
I still creates his uncompromising projects at his own home studio. This series now includes more than twenty albums.
I’m closely associated with electronic music, but in fact I uses a wide range of acoustic sounds. I am inspired by a wide spectrum of musical areas, including contemporary music, folk, industrial music, electronic rock, classic ambient and club music.
However, I separates my original work from other projects set within pop music genre and deeply appreciates creative collaborations with interesting personalities. I create within different music environments, which makes it difficult to clearly specify the scope of my work.
How is your first steps, approach to the music?
When I graduated from the Academy of Art in Warsaw, my family have made a gift to me, the first Roland & Juno 2 synthesizer.
I did not have professional recording equipment. In those days deck decks are very popular. I had a few pieces over-recorded, that replaced the multipliers or multi-tracks. Then I recorded music similar to the first records of Klaus Schulze.
How you define your music?
My main inspiration in both genres of art, graphics and music is Christian metaphysics, existential questions, the mystery of life after death.
I collaborates with such publishers as: PARIS MUSIC, JAZZBOY and REQUIEM RECORDS.
I’m also a co-founder of the following projects: FUTRO, NEMEZIS, KUCZ/KULKA, PRENTY, KUCZ/KLAKE.
I creates music for television programmes and stage plays, including professor Roman Woźniak’s Teatr Academia.
What genre of music you listen, especially?
In the 1980s, not many people listened to avant-garde music of THROBBING GRISTLE, RESIDENTS, CABARET VOLTAIRE groups. I was sniping at listening to contemporary music. I was a regular consumer of the WARSZAWSKA AUTUMN festival. Today, basically also classical music is in the circle of my interest. I recorded a few CDs with music inspired by contemporary music for Requiem Records (PRENTY). I made it with outstanding musicians – cellist Mateusz Kwiatkowski and drummer Robert Rasz in empty factory halls.
I compose also a lot of illustrative music for the needs of TV and radio.
What musicians or groups formed you as a musician?
My first idols are the classics of the electronic rock genre – KLAUS SCHULZE, TANGERINE DREAM, ASHRA TEMPEL, TOMITA, J.M. JARRE, VANGELIS.
Then came the time of listening to ambient music and contemporary music. I totally fell in love with Brian Eno’s “Discreet music”. From then on, everything that composes comes from the subconscious inspiration from this artist.
Could you describe how you record in your studio?
I have one hand inoperable, therefore the basis for composing is the midi system. Without it, it would be very difficult for me. I love work on sampl (wave) which is an inspiration. I love to cut and prepare the sound.
How do you elaborate your rythms?
I used to play in the FUTRO group. I experienced such a short flirt with clubbing music. the rhythm plays a major role in this music.
I liked these broken rhythms of drum’n’bass and house music. The album was nominated for the Polish musical award FRYDERYK’s. But I got bored with it quickly. I recognize melody and harmony as the basic structure of music.
What is the space for you?
The Cosmos was my first great inspiration. In the 80s I read a lot of S-F literature and watched this kind of films. It influenced my fascination for electronic music.

Few facts that affected your life, deeply?
One – I was born with a disabled hand. This fact made me feel a little stigmatized in my childhood. This prompted me to adopt an alternative attitude. This manifested itself in increased my interest to some kind of not popular music.
Two. When I was a young boy I had a repetitive dream. I dreamed about an endless meadow about the setting sun.
I was surrounded by a unique peace and quiet. There was something metaphysical about him. To this day I try to recreate this mood in my ambient music.
What is your vision of the future of our civilization?
In the future, humanity will be more critical to technology gains. The modern world clearly shows that life based only on technology will bring us to annihilation. Will return respect for the value of nature, national tradition and faith in God. This is already happening.
What mesages you spread with your music?
This is a right and difficult question. I always had a problem with it. My message is not popular and given in a non-popular form, perhaps.
